British Manufactured Tuneable LED Grow Lights
A different approach:
LED grow lights have substantial benefits over conventional lighting in terms of performance and energy savings and heat output.
Using specific wavelengths of blue and red LED to increase photosynthesis and enhanced growth. Whilst there are some general opinions on the correct balance of colour spectrum within an LED grow light, the requirements of each plant type will differ and often benefit from different wavelengths are different stages of growth.
When used for supplementary lighting, there is also the potential benefit of changing the colour spectrum of the LED grow lights during the daylight hours to trick the plants to behave in the most effective way needed for enhanced growth.
With so much to be gained by using LED grow lights, the need for evaluation on every type of plant type is essential, this will include colour spectrum changes, lighting intensity, light duration together with CO2, temperature and humidity.
BSSLED offer a range of LED grow lights that can be tuned to virtually any colour spectrum and have fully dimming capability to control intensity or micromoles/m2.
Whilst growing certain plant types can often be described easier than others and often a fixed wavelength of deep blue, hyper red and far red can be used with excellent results, many are keen to look at variations to gain the optimum growing products.
Consideration to offering a period of Far Red and the end of the photo period has been reported to have benefits to the growth cycle on certain plant types.
